Now You Know Why I’ve Been Away…

My daughter was married this past weekend.  It was a joyous occasion, held at a beautiful historic home, in a rose garden surrounded by friends and family.  I’ll post more pictures (from the pros) later, but wanted to show a couple of mine!

New, White Mon Cheri Dress, Size 12 (Sold)

This basque-styled dress is a fairy-tale type of dress!  Measurements are 37 bust, 28 waist and 39.5 hips (free flowing).  The simple, satin boned bodice has nice rubberized elastic inside to prevent slippage and also has under bust, wide elastic that hooks inside for support.

This beautiful dress has allover venice lace with a slight color of yellow, pink and blue, which is very pale and beading.  There is a built-in crinoline, but I show this dress with an additional separate crinoline for more poof! Color Dyed Crinoline Slip

Brides are always looking for a way to personalize and customize their wedding look, and a dyed crinoline is a great option.  The slip only shows when you’re “kicking up your heels”, but adds a touch of color.  I have three crinolines to offer in lovely spring-time colors.  All have adjustable waists and would probably fit a size 2-4 up to a 16 or so.  The blue and pink crinolines are brand new and offered at $55.  The vintage lime crinoline is $45.  Please feel free to ask questions at sherry_george@comcast.net.

Open House at Adornments

Just returned from the Open House at Adornments.  Finally got to meet Laura, Alexis and Lucinda from Adornments.  The Grays from Gray Photography were there (adorable couple with amazing work!)  I met Charlie Thompson, who makes incredible titanium and wood rings.  Schakolad was there with their amazing chocolate confections.  I met Ashley Carter from Ashley’s Bride Guide.  She is so cute and it’s easy to see why her site is so popular.

Wedding Idea: Bride’s Shoes and Flower Colors

There has been quite a buzz about a bride choosing to use color for her shoes.  In fact, the bride can embrace the color concept and match the flowers with the shoes as done with this photo!  Go ahead and show your personality.  Have fun…it’s your big day!

Landa Size 8 Ivory Chiffon Wedding Dress

Beautiful, ivory chiffon gown in size 8!  Comes with a shawl.  Sleeveless, with a shirred bodice with boning for support,  and a slight sweep train.  Priced at only $139.

Measurements are approximately 35 bust, 26 waist, and 37.5 hips.  Check out the feminine vertical ruffles on the skirt.

Vintage size 6 ivory/white silk? wedding dress gown

Beautiful!  This vintage dress is most likely dupioni silk, although there was no tag to indicate.  I measure this as a size 6, and it fits the size 6 mannequin almost perfectly!  Measurements are approximately 32 bust, 26 waist, and 35 hips for the dress.  This beautiful gown features whiteappliques over a sheer layer and ivory silk (?).  Lower back zips close, and upper bodice fastens by nice, covered buttons.  This dress is in great condition, but I would suggest having it dry cleaned before wearing, unless you plan to cut off a couple of inches of length, because there is some dirt along the hemline from being tried on/worn.  This dress is a bargain at $129.00!  As always, contact me at sherry_george@comcast.net to purchase!
