Now You Know Why I’ve Been Away…

My daughter was married this past weekend.  It was a joyous occasion, held at a beautiful historic home, in a rose garden surrounded by friends and family.  I’ll post more pictures (from the pros) later, but wanted to show a couple of mine!

New, White Mon Cheri Dress, Size 12

This basque-styled dress is a fairy-tale type of dress!  Measurements are 37 bust, 28 waist and 39.5 hips (free flowing).  The simple, satin boned bodice has nice rubberized elastic inside to prevent slippage and also has under bust, wide elastic that hooks inside for support.

This beautiful dress has allover venice lace with a slight color of yellow, pink and blue, which is very pale and beading.  There is a built-in crinoline, but I show this dress with an additional separate crinoline for more poof! Color Dyed Crinoline Slip

Brides are always looking for a way to personalize and customize their wedding look, and a dyed crinoline is a great option.  The slip only shows when you’re “kicking up your heels”, but adds a touch of color.  I have three crinolines to offer in lovely spring-time colors.  All have adjustable waists and would probably fit a size 2-4 up to a 16 or so.  The blue and pink crinolines are brand new and offered at $55.  The vintage lime crinoline is $45.  Please feel free to ask questions at sherry_george@comcast.net.

Open House at Adornments

Just returned from the Open House at Adornments.  Finally got to meet Laura, Alexis and Lucinda from Adornments.  The Grays from Gray Photography were there (adorable couple with amazing work!)  I met Charlie Thompson, who makes incredible titanium and wood rings.  Schakolad was there with their amazing chocolate confections.  I met Ashley Carter from Ashley’s Bride Guide.  She is so cute and it’s easy to see why her site is so popular.

Wedding Idea: Bride’s Shoes and Flower Colors

There has been quite a buzz about a bride choosing to use color for her shoes.  In fact, the bride can embrace the color concept and match the flowers with the shoes as done with this photo!  Go ahead and show your personality.  Have fun…it’s your big day!

Landa Size 8 Ivory Chiffon Wedding Dress

Beautiful, ivory chiffon gown in size 8!  Comes with a shawl.  Sleeveless, with a shirred bodice with boning for support,  and a slight sweep train.  Priced at only $139.

Measurements are approximately 35 bust, 26 waist, and 37.5 hips.  Check out the feminine vertical ruffles on the skirt.

Vintage size 6 ivory/white silk? wedding dress gown

Beautiful!  This vintage dress is most likely dupioni silk, although there was no tag to indicate.  I measure this as a size 6, and it fits the size 6 mannequin almost perfectly!  Measurements are approximately 32 bust, 26 waist, and 35 hips for the dress.  This beautiful gown features whiteappliques over a sheer layer and ivory silk (?).  Lower back zips close, and upper bodice fastens by nice, covered buttons.  This dress is in great condition, but I would suggest having it dry cleaned before wearing, unless you plan to cut off a couple of inches of length, because there is some dirt along the hemline from being tried on/worn.  This dress is a bargain at $129.00!  As always, contact me at sherry_george@comcast.net to purchase!

Size 10 Copper/Aqua Cocktail/Mother of the Bride Dress

This is a beautiful and elegant dress in copper and aqua taffeta by Amsale.  These sell for $300+, however I’m able to offer this new, never worn dress for $89.  Listed as a size 10, it’s slightly roomier than traditional wedding size 10, with measurements 36 bust, 27 waist, and 38.5 hips.  Fully lined, and fabric has a slightly iridescent look.   This would be a great party/cocktail dress, or a fantastic mother of the bride dress!  Below knee length.  Contact sherry_george@comcast.net to purchase this incredible gown!

Eden Bridal, Ivory Chiffon Gown, Size 6

Another great dress I couldn’t resist!  This ivory chiffon number features a sweep train, and a bodice with pearls, crystals, and silver beading.  This is a 2 piece look, but is made as one!  There is some fabric wear from being tried on, and I’ve reflected this in the price of $99.00!  Measurements are 34 bust, 25 waist, and 36.5 hips!  As always contact me at sherry_george@comcast.net to purchase or ask questions!

Silk Ivory, Size 10, New St. Pucchi (Sposa) Halter Trumpet Dress!

This beautiful, incredible gown is all silk by St. Pucchi from their Sposa line.  The orignal retail price was $5,500 (yes, that was what I was told!)  However, it was used as a sample and has been tried on a few times, but not worn to a wedding!  Because of this, I found it at a great price and can pass it along for $199.00.  I would suggest the buyer of this dress to count on having it dry cleaned.

This is a mermaid style/trumpet skirt.  Measurements are 36 bust, 27 waist, and 38.5 hips.  This is a fitted dress, so don’t try to purchase if you’re bigger than these measurements.  It is my opintion that it can easily be taken in, however.  I love the gold and silver sequin trim down the front, which is very modern, and beautiful buttons down the back, along with the fabulous embroidered butterfly trim at the top of the halter straps at the neck.  There is a chapel train that is just along enough to be elegant.  I can’t say enough about an opportunity to own a dress by St. Pucchi at this price!  Contact me at sherry_george@comcast.net if you’re interested in purchasing!
